Borden F. Nelson
TRURO, Nov. 17 - The death occurred at his home in Springhill on Sunday morning, November 12, of Borden F. Nelson following an illness of several months. The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James B. Nelson of Springhill and Maccan and was 66 years of age. He was one of a large family of sixteen children.
Surviving him are his widow, the former Lillian Trefry; three daughters, Miss Norma of Halifax; Frances, (Mrs. Glenn Marr, R.N.) of Milwaukee, Wis., who had been caring for her father during the past few months; and Miss June, at home; three brothers, James of Maccan; Fred of Amherst; and Douglas of Springhill; and one sister Mrs. Harry Hill of Framingham, Mass. A sister Mrs. William Slamon, and a brother Alva, both of Framingham predeceased him in August and September respectively.
The funeral was held from the home in Springhill on Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. F. H. Sinnott. Interment in the family lot in Mapleton.
Relatives from Truro attending the funeral were Elwyn and Donald Nelson, Mrs. D. L. Nelson and Mrs. Fred McNutt.
