Allen - Layton Marriage

Did Harris' m/1, Edith Maude Allen died in Edmonton, Alberta sometime
between 1911 and 1921?

I feel Harris possibly didn't go too far to find his first wife. Edith Maude
Allen was born in Spencer's Island, 15 Apr 1984, d/o Jacob W. Allen and
Margaret Alice "Maggie" Spicer. Edith was later adopted by Harris' parents.

Although I don't have a death date for Maggie Spicer who m/2 Addbury Smith,
Jacob W. Allen died 27 Dec 1883, just before Edith Maude was born.
