Title: Smythe vs Smith of Parrsboro
After a posted query 4 years ago, I now believe this John Wilbert Smith to be John Wilbert Smythe, s/o John Smythe (1838-1922) and Margaret Maria Durant (1832-1899)
Somewhere along the line, he switched his surname from Smythe to Smith.
I have not located a death for Mary Elizabeth Aylward in Saint John between 1930 and 1943.
Marjorie Viola (Smith) Harrington is from m/1; George P. Smith could be from m/1 or m/2

OBITUARY: Mrs. Annie Carlow
Residents of Parrsboro were greatly shocked to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Annie Carlow at her home on Upper Main Street at 2:30 on Sunday morning. While she had been in poor health for some time, it was only since Friday night that she had been confined to her bed and from that time on she sank steadily. The death of Mrs. Carlow brings to a close a career of happy service. All her life she has helped others, giving freely and uncomplainingly of her time and her health to assist those less fortunate than she. It was this quality that endeared her so much to her friends and neighbours and her sudden death came as a tremendous shock to them, many of them not even knowing she was confined to her bed before they heard of her passing. Their earnest sympathy will be extended to the bereaved family, who have lost a devoted mother. The late Mrs. Carlow before her marriage was Miss Annie Smythe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Smythe of Parrsboro. She had lived practically all her life in Parrsboro. Left to mourn her loss are two sons, Walter, at present receiving treatment in Camp Hill Hospital; and Cyril, of Waverley, Mass. There are two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Hugh Ripley of Oxford; and Mary, at home. Three brothers also survive, Frank and Harry, of New York; and John, of Saint John.
