Comparing Le-Roy’s obit with that of his wife, Florence Caroline Durning’s, did Florence have a daughter, Wendy Durning before she married Le-Roy?

Florence lists Wendy as a predeceased daughter; Le-Roy lists Wendy as a predeceased step-daughter.

Just trying to make the correct connections in my genealogy file.

Faulkner, H. Le-Roy - age 80, of Upper Economy, Colchester Co. passed away
Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro after a brief illness with cancer. Dad, Papa, Brother, Uncle Le-Roy,
friend, loved and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be missed by
us all. The beach just won't be quite the same. Born at “The Farm”, Upper
Economy in 1933, he is survived by sons, Stephen, Bass River; Kevin,
Halifax; grandson, James, Truro; and sisters, Beryl, Sackville, NB; Mary,
Upper Economy. He was predeceased by his father Leonard; mother, Sarah
(Lewis); his loving wife, Florence Caroline (Durning); his youngest son,
Mitchell Dean; step-daughter Wendy Leigh; as well as brothers, Lewis,
Cameron and Pursel; a sister, Ruby Lane. The family would like to extend
their heartfelt thanks to everyone who flocked to Le-Roy’s side during his
brief illness. A special thanks to the staff of E2, Colchester Hospital for
their exemplary care and kindness, and to his companion of the past several
years, Evelyn Graham. A private family burial will be held at the Economy
Cemetery on Monday, November 25, 2013, to be followed by a ‘Celebration of
his Life’ at 1 p.m. at the Economy Recreation Centre. Family flowers only
please. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation.

Faulkner, Florence Caroline - 70, of Economy, Colchester County, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at the VG Site, QE II, Halifax after a long and heroic battle with cancer. She was a lady of beauty, substance and, above all, class who tended her flock with loving care. Our hearts are saddened with her passing. Her passions were her family, reading, music and people of all ages and walks of life. Born in Parrsboro, she was the daughter of the late Graham and Rose (MacLellan) Durning. She is survived by her husband, Le-Roy, Economy; sons, Stephen, Economy, Kevin, Halifax and Mitchell, San Diego, CA; a grandson, James, Halifax; sisters, Helen Lane, Florence, SC and Beryl MacKay, Montreal; brothers, Bill Durning, Ottawa; Robert Durning, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by a brother, Allan Durning; step-mother, Florence Durning; daughter, Wendy Durning; and sister, Dorothy Hunt. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2002 in Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2002, Rev. Robert Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at the Economy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation or to a charity of choice. The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all those family members and friends who assisted us in tending to Florence’s needs, physical and spiritual, during the trying times this last year and one-half. A special thanks to the staff of the Victoria General Dialysis unit for their care and kindness.
