Steve,
I believe the following SSDI entry is our Dr. Rexmond Canning Cochrane:
Rexmond Cochrane, b 05-Jul-1912, d Oct-1986; Last Res = Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland; SS # issued in New York.
Here's his Maryland Marriages Registration:
Rexmond Canning Cochrane (age 37) s/o Lawson S. Cochrane & Clara M. Nelson, was married on 25 Jun 1949 in Baltimore, Baltimore Co., Maryland to Frances Marian Bennett (age 40) d/o Howard Douglas Bennett & Anne Tinker Bennett.
NOTES:
1) I believe Clara married Robert P. Nelson some time between the April 1930 census and the May 1942 obituary for James Albert Canning.
2) NOTE: I Googled Rexmond Canning Cochrane and discoverd the following
book:
The Chemical Warfare Service: From Laboratory to Field
by Leo P. Brophy, Wyndham D. Miles, Rexmond Canning Cochrane
The book discusses the US Army's interest in chemical warfare for WW II. I wonder if this is our Rexmond Canning Cochrane?
Gerry
