OBITUARY: John Foster Byers
Truro, August 15 - The death occurred in the Colchester County Hospital
Saturday night of John Foster Byers, 15 MacLellan Street. Mr. Byers, who was
born at Spencer's Island, Cumberland County, 47 years ago, had been in ill
health for three months. He had lived in Truro for the past 20 years, and
for the last 15 years had been an employee of Lewis Limited. He is survived
by his wife, three step-daughters, Doreen, Halifax; Eileen, Charlottetown;
and Dianne, at home; and one step-son, Curtis, at home. Remains are resting
at the Mattatall Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday
at 2 p.m., Captain R. Henderson of the Salvation Army officiating. Interment
will be in the Watson Street Cemetery.
