MacKAY-MADDEN, GLADYS - 1922 - 2013 - Gladys MacKay-Madden passed away peacefully at the K. E. Spencer Memorial Home on Friday, September 27, 2013. Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Letcher. Gladys is survived by her second husband Jack Madden, sons; Ralph (Sandra)
MacKay, Charles (Judith) MacKay, daughters; Valerie (Allen) MacKay-Greer, and Heather (Tom) Singer MacKay, sisters; Ada and Bette. Gladys will also be missed by her grandchildren; Bonnie, Jeanette, Jennifer, Megan, Rebecca, and Ainslee, step grandchildren Martin and Justin, as well as her eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Malcolm, brothers; Bill, and Charles, sisters; Irene and Jean. The family wishes to acknowledge the great care she received at the Kelsey Manor, McNair Manor and K.E. Spencer Nursing Home. Gladys was an active member of the St. James United Church in Woodstock and St. John's United Church in Moncton. She was long time employee at Eaton's of Canada.
A memorial service celebrating Gladys's life will be held at St. John's United Church on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2:00pm. A reception will
follow at the Church. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined in favor of donations to the Alzheimer's Society, St. John's United Church or to a charity of your choice.
