Deb Everett possibly had it solved already long before I so she deserves most of the credit.

After Lester Boyd Cole died, Sophia Agnes went Stateside to her sister, Margaret (Brown) Stiles.

Doing some digging, widower, John Hugh Brown m/2 Mary Ann Hilton from England on 14 Jan 1922, Christ Church Anglican, Fernie, B.C.

This would support the fact his m/1, Margaret Mann died 4 Nov 1917 at Fernie, B.C., and their 2 daughters were sent to Parrsboro to live with his parents sometime before the 1921 Parrsboro Census.

John Hugh Brown died 7 Dec 1978 at Shaughnessy Hospital, Vancouver at the age of 93. He was a Cooper at a Brewery. His m/2 died sometime before that date.

That’s all folks says Woody Woodpecker !

Greg:

On the B.C. Vitals, there’s a marriage for John Hugh Brown to Margaret Mann on 7 Jun 1910 at Fernie, B.C.

There’s a death for a Margaret Mann on 4 Nov 1917 in Fernie, B.C. (no certificate available)

I’d bet the grandchildren, Margaret Brown and Sophia Brown, on the 1921 Parrsboro Census are John Hugh and Margaret’s.

Could John Hugh Brown’s wife M. (?) have died shortly after 1915 out in B.C. and the two daughters sent to Parrsboro to be with his parents?

James Edward Brown is s/o Benjamin Brown and Mary Ann Gallagher. His wife is Sophia Moore, b/o Sampson Moore and Mary Ann Murray.

Good question as to who Margaret and Sophie’s parents are

The children I have are born between 1880 and 1909:

Margaret Birdie
Rosella
John Hugh, possibly your “Jack”
Theresa Evelyn
Thomas Murray
James Edward
Bessie Beatrice
Sophia Dorothy
Mary Joanna
Frederick
Rita (wasn’t on the 1911 Census but is age 12 on the 1921 Census?)
