OBITUARY: John Edward Taylor, 69, Habitant, Kings County, died Friday at his
home. Born at Scots Bay Road he was the son of Jess and Ella (Blankhorn)
Taylor. Surviving besides his wife the former Clara Macumber; three sons,
Everett and Frank, at home; James, Halifax; seven grandchildren; three
brothers, Freeman, Iowa; Joe, Kingsport; Hadley, Bedford, Mass.; four
sisters, Kate (Mrs. Albert Delane), Malden, Mass.; Maude (Mrs. Peter
Pilington), Cambridge; Juanita (Mrs. Charles Williams), Somer, Mass.; Ruth,
(Mrs. Lawrence Barkhouse), Milford. The body is at H.C. Lindsay Funeral
Home, Kentville, where funeral service will be held Monday 2 p.m. with Rev.
Robert Childs assisted by Rev. Freeman Fenerty officiating. Burial will be
in Habitant Cemetery.

Obituary - TAYLOR, Clara Etta "Peg" - 95, of Habitant, Kings Co., passed
away Thursday, March 18, 2004, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Born in Woodside, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Everett and
Grace (Metzler) MacCumber. In addition to being a homemaker, she also
worked in the apple industry for a number of years. She loved playing cards,
knitting, reading and especially enjoyed her family. She is survived by
sons, Everett (Joyce), Habitant; James (Marjorie), Port Williams, Kings Co.;
daughter-in-law, Georgina Taylor, Habitant; sisters, Caroline Crossman,
Hamilton, Ont.; Bessie Harnish, New Minas; brother, Elmer (Mae) MacCumber,
Red Lake, Alta.; grandchildren, Stephen, Sherry, Scott, Ann Marie, Mary
Faye, Mark, John, Ella and Matthew; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great
great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her
husband, John Edward Taylor; ***daughter, Mary Faye***; son, Frank;
sisters, Emma, Frances and Linda; brothers, Gilbert, Howard, Clinton and
Ernest; grandson, Terry; great-grandson, Colin. There will be no visitation
by family request. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March
22, in W.C. Hiltz/White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Rev. Elizabeth
Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Habitant
Cemetery, Kings Co. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
W.C. Hiltz/White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.

Mrs. Grace Mae Hudson, 81, Pereau, died at her home Tuesday. Born at Halls
Harbour, she was the daughter of Henry and Emma (Brown) Metzler. She was
twice married; her first husband, Everett MacCumber died in 1925. Her second
husband, George Hudson, died in 1946. She is survived by six daughters, Emma
(Mrs. Allen Brown), Canning; Frances (Mrs. Benjamin Corkum), Port Williams;
Mrs. Linda Whalen, Wolfville; ***Clara (Mrs. John Taylor), Habitant***;
Caroline (Mrs. Harley Crossman), Pereau; Bessie (Mrs. Charles Harnish),
Wolfville; three sons, Ernest and Howard, Pereau; Elmer, Renbie, Ont.; 43
grandchildren; 84 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Two
sons, Clinton and Gilbert are dead. The body is at the H.C. Lindsay Memorial
Chapel, Kentville. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Kentville
Pentecostal Church, Rev. Robert Cross will officiate. Interment will be in
the Hillaton Cemetery.
