Shirley Mae Rowley
Rowley, Shirley Mae (Rafter) went absent from the body and present with her Lord on September 19 at 5:25 am 2013. She was the daughter of Alfred and Florence Rafter of New Glasgow NS. She was born in Amherst May 19, 1926. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Spicer and her husband Mallory. She and her husband spent more than 25 years in Chad Africa and France as Missionaries working in Medical and dental work and training of African Pastors. She was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. John Rowley Chief Warrant Officer in the Canadian Air Force, Comox BC; Elizabeth Mitchell Ontario Bilingual Secretary with War Amps; Jessey Corporal Truro Police Services; David, Montreal, President of the French Baptist Union of Churches in Canada; She has 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. They will praise her at her memorial service in the future. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro.
