OBITUARY: Mrs. Millard Canning
Parrsboro - Mrs. Millard M. Canning, 84, of Parrsboro, died Tuesday in
Parrsboro Hospital. Born in Anaconda, Montana, she was the former Lola Myra
Carey. She was a school teacher and bakery operator in the Parrsboro area
for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Florence (Mrs. Arthur
Best), two sons, Percy and DeWhite[sic], and one brother, Charles, all of
Parrsboro; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. The body is at
Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m.
Friday, Rev. Parker Matheson officiating. Burial will be in United Church
Cemetery, Parrsboro.
