OBITUARY: Evelyn M. Gammon
Pereau - Evelyn May Gammon, 62, of Pereau, died Saturday in Eastern Kings
Memorial Hospital. Born in Cumberland County, she was a daughter of Mabel
Bennett Tibbetts and the late Wylie Tibbetts. She was a member of Pereau
Baptist Church and played an active role in church and community affairs.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis; three sons, Hubert, Medford; Robert
and Roger, both of Pereau; three daughters, Madeline (Mrs. Stanley
Swindells), Star's Point; Linda (Mrs. Greg Trefry), New Minas; Joyce (Mrs.
Harold MacKenzie, Jr.), Kentville; two brothers, Fred, Pereau; Lewis, New
Minas; four sisters, June (Mrs. Clarence Ernst), Caledonia, Ont.; Marietius
(Mrs. Harry Woolaver), Blomidon; Luella (Mrs. Robert Schofield), Greenwich;
Myrna Fraser, Sarnia, Ont.; 10 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a
brother, Laurie, and a sister, Hulda. The body is in H.C. Lindsay Memorial
Chapel, Kentville. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., in Pereau
Baptist Church, Rev. David Shaw and Rev. David Masthorne officiating. Burial
will be in Habitant Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made
to Valley Regional Hospital Building Fund (B.F.M.)
