OBITUARY: Leslie Strong
Spencer's Island - Leslie Strong, 52, of Spencer's Island, died Friday at
home. Born in Advocate, Cumberland County, he was the son of Garfield and
the late Georgie (Bradford) Strong. He is survived by his wife, the former
Anna Strong; two sons, Weldon and Thomas, both at home; three daughters,
Flora and Sharon, both at home; Betty, Amherst; three sisters, Blanche (Mrs.
Allison MacAloney), Flora (Mrs. George Lamb), and Ardis (Mrs. Hugh Bennett),
all of Hundred Mile House, B.C.; and two brothers, Morton, Trenton; and
Henry, Borden, Ont. The body is at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral
service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. In the Advocate United Church, Rev.
John Kay officiating. Burial will be in the Advocate Cemetery.
