OBITUARY: Clarence Roy Riley
Hantsport - Clarence Roy Riley, 70, died yesterday in Victoria General
Hospital after a short illness. Born in Hantsport, he was the son of the
late Albert and Adeleine (Marsters) Riley. He was a lifelong resident of
Hantsport and was employed with the Canadian Gypsum Company for about 40
years as a marine engineer. He retired in 1958. A member of the Masonic
Lodge Paynis No. 44. Surviving are a daughter, Erma (Mrs. Edward Ouellette),
Dartmouth; a son, Roy, Hantsport; a brother, Harry, Halifax; a sister, Elta
(Mrs. Edwin Dorman), California; six grandchildren. His wife, the former
Stella Jane Taylor, died in 1953. The body is at R.D. Lindsay Funeral Home,
Windsor, with funeral Friday 2 p.m., from Hantsport United Church, with Rev.
G.L. Gower officiating. Interment will be in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
