Re: Millard Roy Ells of Advocate

Ross:

Thanks. You’re correct.

I didn’t have the two sons, Reginald  and Edgar, sorted by age in my file but I do now.

At a quick glance yesterday, I had Edgar then Reginald. Now, it’s Reginald Elliott, 1916,  then Edgar H., 1918.

Dave,

Actually Reg was the older of the brothers. Edgar, who was married to my aunt, Doris Wasson, was born in 1918.

Re: [nscumber] Millard Roy Ells of Advocate   Hi Ruth:

Thanks for the confirmation of Reg’s middle name as Elliott.

In his obituary photo, I noticed his hat, “Minas Basin Bus Company”. My distant Hatfield cousin, Dale Hatfield in Port Greville operates the busses I believe.

Following that trend, Reg’s older brother, Edgar H. Ells is possibly Edgar Harmon Ells but I won’t change it just yet..

So much more progress is made in genealogy when everyone shares. Thanks again.

Hi  Everyone!

Reg Ells used to visit our sawmill office whenever he passed through Athol.  He and my Dad were great friends.  I called him "Santa" as he always sported a white beard - usually year round - unless it was too humid in the summer, and then he would shave .
In response to your query about his middle name being Elliott, you are correct.  This was confirmed to me this morning by someone close to the family.

Regards
Ruth

Hi Clemm:

Thanks for the correction. The obit was transcribed as published. Below is
an amended version. I have him as Harmon Edgar Ells.

Do you think Reginald E. Ells might be Reginald E[lliott] Ells?
