1916 - 2013
ELLS, REGINALD E. - 96, of Advocate Harbour. Acknowledging a long and
fulfilling life, Reg's family would like to announce his passing on Sunday,
September 1, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper
Nappan following a brief illness. Born in Advocate Harbour, he was a son of
the late Millard and Lulu (Elliott) Ells. He was a life-long woodsman,
having worked with M.V. Murphy, Hollingsworth and Whitney, Scott Paper and
Advocate Contracting. He is survived by daughters, Charlotte Webster, Saint
John, N.B.; Sharon Neves, Truro; Maureen Collins (Kenneth), and sons, Dale
Ells (Leah), Brian Ells (Connie), all of Advocate Harbour; 16 grandchildren;
25 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Eva in 2012; granddaughter, Rhonda;
a brother, Edgar; son-in-law, Melza Webster. Visitation 7-9 p.m. on
Wednesday [September 4, 2013] at the Advocate Baptist Church, where funeral
service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday [September 5, 2013], Keith
Selwyn-Smith, DLM officiating. Burial in the Advocate Cemetery. Memorial
donations may be made to the Advocate and District Volunteer Fire Brigade
First Responders or the Advocate Cemetery.
