OBITUARY
John Wood
SPRINGHILL, Jan. 5 - The death occurred at his home in Springhill on Sunday of John Wood at the age of 93 years. The deceased, who was one of the town's oldest residents, was born at Mount Pleasant and has resided here for 62 years. He was a retired employee of the coal company, retiring in 1939.
Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Michael Richards; five sons, Guy and Douglas residing here, William at Southampton, Mickey at Truro and Jack at Mulgrave, and one sister, Mrs. Alma Mills.
The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday by Rev. F. H. Sinnott of the United Baptist Church.
