OBITUARY: Imbert Allen
Barrington, Nov. 12 - The death of Imbert Allen, formerly of East Advocate,
occurred at the home of his son, Dexter Allen, Barrington, Monday morning,
following a heart attack. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred
Allen, of Spencer's Island, where he was born 86 years ago. In 1904 he
married Miss Alice Lantz of Fox River, and resided at East Advocate until he
came to Barrington three months ago. He was Postmaster at East Advocate for
about 40 years. Surviving besides his wife, are three sons, Lantz, of
Lawrencetown, Anna. Co.; Dexter, of Barrington; Glynford, of Regina, Sask.;
and one daughter, Hattie (Mrs. Albert Perry), Barrington; one brother,
Samuel, of East Southampton; and one sister, Miss Rebecca Allen, of
Spencer's Island; also, three grandsons and three granddaughters. Interment
will be made in Riverdale Cemetery, Barrington.
