John Lawrence Fowler
TRURO, July 18 - John Lawrence Fowler who had been residing with his son Wilfred at Amherst Point for the past two years, passed away at Highland View Hospital, Amherst on Tuesday, July 11th following a lengthy illness. The deceased who was 76 years of age was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeptha Fowler of Parrsboro. He had resided in Amherst many years where he did masonry work. He is survived by six sons and five daughters; Wilfred of Amherst Point; Monson of Amherst; Willis and Percy of Trenton; Harold, 14 Wood Street, Truro; and David of Oxford; Miss Jane Fowler, and Helen, (Mrs. Earle Campbell) both of Amherst; Evelyn, (Mrs. Edwin Marshall), Oxford; Doreen, (Mrs. Fred Mitchell), of Trenton; and Dorothy (Mrs. James Emslie) of Trenton. There are also one sister Mrs. Sanford McKeil of Dover, N.H.; and one brother Freeman, also in the States. The funeral service was held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst, with interment at Highland Cemetery.
