Vivian C. Smith
1931-2013
Vivian C. Smith 82 years of age, of Rodney, NS, passed away on Thursday,
August 22, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in
Springhill she was a daughter of the late Earl & Laura (Shipley) Gilbert.
She was a member of St. Andrews Wesley United Church , past Chief and life
member of the Pythian Sisters Lodge #8, past Noble Grand of the Lady Minto
Lodge #23, Rodney Ladies Aid. Vivian was a cook for girl guide camps, she
enjoyed word finds, playing cards and scratch tickets. Vivian enjoyed
spending time with her family and friends.
Vivian will be sadly missed by her son, Wade (Dorothy) of Quesnel, B.C.;
her daughter, Laura Jones (Wayne) of Rodney, N.S.; brothers, Gerald Gilbert
(Nellie) of Springhill, N.S. sisters; Doris Caulfield, Faye Livinston both
of Springhill, N.S., Shirley Sears (Hudson) of Truro, N.S; grandchildren;
Tommy Smith (Madge) of Memramcook, N.B., Donna, Melissa, Eric, Liam Smith
all of Quesnel B.C.; great grandson, Ryder Smith of Quesnel, B.C.; several
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William; brother,
Ross, sister Hazel
Arrangements are under the direction of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane St., Springhill (597-2361) . Visiting hours will be held from the
funeral home on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service
will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, August 28th at 2 p.m.
Burial to follow in the Rodney Cemetery.

Diabetic Association or charity of your choice.
