Charles William Soley was born about July 1835 and married Mary Jane Mason (1836-1902) in Parrsboro on 29-Sep-1957. Here is his obituary from the April 26, 1900 edition of the Truro Daily News:
The many friends of Mr. C.W. Soley, of Lower Economy, regret much to hear of his death which occurred at his late residence on Sunday, April 22nd. Mr. Soley was 65 years of age and was one of the prominent and sterling men of Western Colchester. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church, Lower Economy, on Tuesday, April 24th, the Rev. F.E. Roope being the officiating clergyman, assisted by Rev. A. Gray. The funeral was largely attended.
