Obituary
DAVENPORT, Vincent Thomas 64, of MacKay Section, Hants County, passed away
on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at home. Born on November 5, 1946, in Aroostook,
New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Stanley and Hilda (Weaver)
Davenport. Vincent was the Chief Engineer at Oland¹s Brewery for 25 years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marcha Bryall; Son, Darren (Karen),
Lantz; Grandchildren, Emily and Ryan; Brothers, Alton (Joyce) Bath, New
Brunswick, Vernon (Pat), Frankford, Ontario and Danny (Anne), Tinker, New
Brunswick; Sisters, Janet (Bill) Nason, Yukon, Oklahoma; Connie (Bill)
Baker, Quispamsis, New Brunswick; Several nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his parents and his son, Troy. A memorial service will be
held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125
Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, with a reception in the funeral homes
reception lounge. Burial will follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens. Donations

His niece, Melanie Dawn (Baker) Veinot:
In the early morning hours of July 6, 2012 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, Melanie Veinot, 38, of
Upham, gloriously walked into the open arms of her Lord. Left behind to
mourn her passing are husband and best friend Wayne, daughters, Tianna and
Makayla, both at home. She is also survived by parents William ³Bill² and
Connie (Davenport) Baker of Quispamsis, sister, Kim Hennessy (Jim) of
Rothesay, niece Elizabeth and nephew and Godson, Jacob, many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and cousins. She will forever be missed by her Veinot
family, sister-in-law Valerie Anderson (Doug) of Hampton, Blaine and his
daughter April, a special niece, of Upham, Kipper and Angie of Passekeag,
Chris and Sharon of South Bay, and step-brother, Wayne Dionne ³Uncle D² at
home.
Melanie spent her life leading by example, how to love deeply, and always
have faith in God¹s greater plan. She surrounded herself by a wonderful
group of friends who she considered family. She was predeceased by her
grandparents, Vincent and Katherine Baker, Stanley and Hilda Davenport and
mother and father-in-law Reginald and Rose Veinot.
Resting at Reid¹s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton,
with visitation on Sunday from 3-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
held 10:00am, Monday, July 9, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Church, 39 Tilley
Street, Hampton. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will
be at a later date. As per Melanie¹s wishes, donations may be made to SJRH
Palliative Care Unit or a charity of the donor¹s choice. Online donations
