Fred Spencer was m/1 Ida Marie Henshaw (1933-1959); m/2 Laura Maurine.
>From the previously posted obit, Laura had seven children and six
step-children = 13. Fred Spencer lists 14 children in his obit.
Therefore, it's possible some of the children listed in Laura's obit are
actually her step-children, by Ida Marie Henshaw.
One would require Ida's obit to be sure.

OBITUARIES:
Becker (Spencer), Laura
Was called home to rest on July 27, 2013. Born July 21, 1934, to her late
parents, Freda Walsh Croft and Norman Morine. Survived by her stepdad,
Lawrence Croft. She was the oldest of 12 siblings; brothers, Cecil Walsh,
New Minas; Robert Walsh (Diane), Bridgewater; Larry Walsh (Nancy), Berwick;
George Croft (Dorothy), Port Williams; Donald Croft (Barb), New Minas;
sisters, Elizabeth LaLonde (Robert), Ontario; Marjorie Pinch (Harry),
Greenfield; Margaret Rafuse (Merton), South Alton; Ann Brown (Laurie), New
Minas; Rose Boylan (John), Gaspereau. Also surviving are her husband, Mike
Becker, Barrie, Ont.; children, Brenda Parker (Bim), Kingston; Mary
Bullerwell (Doug), Comox, B.C.; Francis Spencer, Kentville; Frankie Jr.
Spencer (Elizabeth), Hantsport; Polli "Paulina" Brace (Larry), Yarmouth;
Fred Spencer (Penny), New Brunswick; Patricia Gallant (Louis), Kingston;
Paul Spencer (Angie), Berwick; Susan Voiros (Steve), Alberta; Earl Epencer
(Sam), Ontario; Cindy MacLean (Jack), Cole Harbour. She had many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her
first husband, Frank Spencer; sister, Edith Croft; brother, Bedford Croft;
children, Linda Gauthier, Frederick Spencer, Bonita Spencer; grandchild,
Daniel Gallant, who shared her bright red hair and bright blue eyes. She
will always be in our hearts and fond memories. Laid to rest in Gaspereau
Cemetery. All donations can be made to the SPCA and WAAG.
Perhaps they are not stars in the sky but rather openings, where our loved
ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

SPENCER, Frank - 76, Eastern Passage, formerly of Kingston, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, February 11, 2003, in
the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late
Frank Deveau and Evelyn Spencer. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces,
Nova Scotia Black Watch Corp from 1951-57. He served overseas in Korea for
13 months and he was a recipient of the Korean War Medal. He worked with
Minas Basin Pulp and Power in Hantsport for 12 years. He was employed at CFB
Greenwood as a painter for several years; a cook and later a commissioner.
During the last eight to ten years before his retirement he was employed at
CFB Greenwood at various jobs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hockey
especially the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a kind and loving husband and
father we are all very proud of. Surviving are his wife, the former Hattie
(Harriet) Morine; sons, Frankie (Elizabeth), Hantsport; Francis, North
Alton; Frederick (Penny), Bloomfield, N.B.; Paul, Berwick; Earl (Sandra),
Highlever, Alta.; son-in-law, Stephan Longtin; daughters, Brenda Parker,
Tremont; Mary (Doug) Bullerwell, Comox, B.C.; Pauline (Larry) Brace,
Yarmouth; Patricia (Louis) Gallant, Panama City, Fla.; Susan (Steve) Voros,
Alberta; Cindy (Kevin Nickerson) Longtin, Eastern Passage; sisters, Freda
(Richard) Henshaw and Winnie (Earl) Henshaw, all of Lockhartville; 42
grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife,
Ida Henshaw; son, Frederick; daughters, Bonita and Linda; sister, Eleanor;
brother, Eldon. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today with Royal Canadian Legion
service beginning at 7 p.m., funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15,
all in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Chapel, 568 Main St., Wolfville, Rev. Bob
Billings officiating. Burial in Gaspereau Cemetery at a later date. Family
flowers only, memorial donations may be made to The Children's Wish
