OBITUARY: Bedford Croft
Gaspereau - Bedford Vance Croft, 29, of Gaspereau died Monday at home. Born
in Gaspereau, he was a son of Lawrence and Freda (Welsh) Croft. He was a
self-employed brick layer. Surviving are three brothers, Larry, New Minas;
Donald, Hantsport; George, Canaan; a sister, Rosie (Mrs. John Boylan),
Gaspereau; two half-brothers, Cecil Walsh, Highbury; Bob Walsh, Yarmouth;
six half-sisters, Hattie (Mrs. Frank Spencer), Kingston; Edith (Mrs. Basil
Croft), Gaspereau; Mrs. Elizabeth Duff, in Ontario; Marjorie (Mrs. Harry
Pinch), Hantsport; Margaret (Mrs. Theo Levy), Sheffield Mills; Mrs. Laurie
Brown, New Minas. The body is at H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville.
Funeral will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m., from Gaspereau Baptist Church, Rev.
Steve Canton officiating. Burial will be in Gaspereau Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to any charity.
