Dorothy Louise McDonald, 72, 251 Marsh St., New Glasgow, died Monday, Dec.
15 in Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Shulie, Cumberland County, she was the
daughter of the late George and Maud (McCabe) Ferrand. She was a member and
elder of Trinity United Church. She was a graduate of St. John Hospital
School of Nursing. She was secretary of the Golden Years Senior Citizens
Club, a member of the Victorian Order of Nurses and the hospital auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, J.J. Gordon; a daughter, Elizabeth (Mrs.
Arthur deCarle), Saskatoon; two sons, Rev. Curtis, Pictou; George, Calgary;
a sister, Hazel (Mrs. Dawson Fulton), Williamstown, Mass.; nine
grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Victor and a sister, Ella.
The body will be in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral will
be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 in Trinity United Church, New Glasgow. Burial
will be in Highland View Cemetery, Amherst. Family flowers only. Donations
may be made to The Trinity United Church Memorial Fund or any charity.

The Evening News, of Tue., Dec. 16, 1986 had the same obituary, except that
McDonald was spelled MacDonald.
