OBITUARY: Sylvia A. Burkett
Waldec, Annapolis County - Sylvia Armina Burkitt, 75, of Waldec, died Sunday
at home. Born in Southampton, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and
Florence (Brown) Bird. She was a niece of the well-known Nova Scotia writer,
Will R. Bird. She is survived by her husband, Maurice; three sons, Leonard,
Digby; Lester, Liverpool; Douglas, Shelburne; four daughters, Viola (Mrs.
Bradford Hines), Toronto; Madeline (Mrs. Eric Wills), Shelburne; Pauline
(Mrs. John Wilson), Winona, Ont.; Verna Mellor, Weymouth; a step-son, Roy
Burkitt and a step-daughter, Eleanor Alkema, both of Burlington, Ont.; two
brothers, Stanley and Harold, both of Springhill; two sisters, Margaret
Hannah, Bear River; Doris LeBlanc, Springhill; 24 grandchildren, 13 great
grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first
husband, Howard Tingley; six brothers, Carmen, James, Lorne, Charles,
Wilfred and Wesley; three sisters, Henrietta, Minerva and Nita. The body is
in the Robert L. Hall Funeral Home, Granville Ferry. Funeral service will be
2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Edward's Anglican Church, Clementsport, Rev. William
Hebden officiating. Burial will be in Clementsport Cemetery.

MOSHER -- Doris M., 90, of Sable River, formerly of Sandy Cove, passed away
peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, Saturday, April
14th, 2012.
Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late John and Beatrice
(Hubley) Labrador.
Doris was very active in her community providing Meals on Wheels and was a
member of the Liverpool Seniors Group as well as Trinity Anglican Church.
She was also a member of the A.C.W. She enjoyed crafting such as painting,
quilting, crocheting and sewing and sewed for a time for Suttles and
Seawinds.
She is survived by her step-daughters Verna Mellor of Weymouth, Pauline
Wilson-Burton of Digby, Madeline Wills-Brown (Randall Brown) of Sable River.
Her step-sons Douglas (June) Tingley of Sable River and Leonard (Leora)
Tingley of Digby. Many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and
step-great-great grandchildren. Her sisters Louise VanNorden of Milton and
Mary Weagle of Chelsea. Her brother Edward (Joan) Labrador of Bridgewater.
She was predeceased by her first husband Howard Tingley, her second husband
Neil Mosher; step-sons Lester Tingley, Clifton Tingley and Vincent Tingley,
step-grandson Wade; sisters Jean Wentzell and Agnes Morash and brothers
Donald, Frank, John Jr. and Charles.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 from 7 until 9 p.m. in
Chandlers¹ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service will be held Wednesday,
April 18th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool.
Chaplain Donald Lawton officiating. Burial will be in St. James Anglican
Cemetery, Hunt¹s Point. Family flowers only, donations may be made to

TINGLEY, CLIFTON HOWARD - 1923 - 2011; of Riverview, NB; passed away at the
Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, on Friday, August 12, 2011, at the age of 88
years. Born in Midway, Albert Co; he was the son of the late Howard and
Laura May (MacPherson) Tingley. Clifton retired after 26 years service with
the Canadian National Railway, where he served in various capacities during
that time. He was a veteran of WW II, he served with the 8th Canadian
Hussars in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland, he was also a member
of the Hillsborough Royal Canadian Legion Branch #32. He will be sadly
missed by his loving wife Dorothy Tingley; three sons Chester Tingley and
his wife Nancy of Moncton, Oscar Tingley and his wife Louise of Riverview,
and Garnet Tingley and his wife Wendy of Hampton, NB; a step-son Donald
Beaumont (Nancy) of Oakville, ON; grandchildren Chester (Heidi), Trevor
(Carol), Rebecca (Frank), Shelly (Matt), Heidi (James), Tanya (Rick), Amanda
and Jackie (Mike); six great grandchildren; half brothers Doug Tingley
(June) of Sable River, NS., Leonard Tingley of Digby, NS.; half sisters
Madeline, Pauline and Verna; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides
his parents he was predeceased by an infant sister and by brothers Vincent
and infant Kenneth. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd,
Riverview on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00pm and Tuesday, August
16, 2011 from 12 noon until the time of the service. The funeral service
will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at
2:00 pm. The Hillsborough Legion Br. # 32 will hold a veterans service
Monday evening August 15, 2011 at 6:45pm at the Riverview Funeral Home.
Donations in Clifton's memory made to the Salvation Army or to the charity
of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family. Arrangements have
