I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:



Feb. 10, 1996 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
SIMPSON, Roderick L. - 66, Oxford, Cumberland Co., died February 9, 1996, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash.  Born in Linden, Cumberland Co., he was a son of the late Renforth and Clara (Allen) Simpson.  He worked as a machinist retiring in 1986.  Surviving are sons, Edward, Grand Prairie, Alta.; Stephen, Oxford; daughters, Sharon (Mrs. Gary Tuttle), Mrs. Debbie Parlee, Kelly Simpson, Oxford; sister, Joan (Mrs. Allison Gilbert), Oxford; 10 grandchildren.  He was predeceased by brother, Edward.  Cremation has taken place. Funeral 7 p.m. February 16 in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main St., Oxford, Rev. Dewis Rector officiating.  Spring burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
