OBITUARY: Mrs. Wallace Graham
Suddenly stricken with a heart attack, Mrs. Wallace Graham died Thursday
evening at the home of her brother, Herbert Manning. She was born in
Parrsboro 66 years ago and was formerly Bertha Mae Manning, daughter of the
late William and Agnes (Newcombe) Manning. Her husband, the late Captain
Wallace Graham, predeceased her a short time ago. She is survived by four
daughters - ***Mrs. Ernest Simpson, Newton, Mass.***; Mrs. Walter Kitchen,
of Saint John; Mrs. Stephen Faulkner, Quinsy, Mass.; and Miss Kathleen
Graham, of Quincy, Mass. The surviving brothers and sisters are: Herbert and
Harry Manning, of Parrsboro; Mrs. A. Ward, of Saint John; Mrs. S. Smith, of
West Brook; Mrs. R. Canning, Parrsboro; and Mrs. Leander Canning, Parrsboro.

FUNERAL: Mrs. Wallace Graham
The funeral for the late Mrs. Wallace Graham was held on Monday at 2:30 p.m.
from her late residence. Members of the Baptist and United choirs were in
attendance and sang the hymns: "The Lord's My Shepherd" and "Lead Kindly
Light". The officiating clergyman, Rev. Howard Hamilton sang a sole, "The
Christian's Good Night". The pallbearers were: Captain Burton Merriam,
Messrs: Milford Canham, William Puddington and Pearly Wright.

OBITUARY: Capt. W.W. Graham
There passed away at his home, White Hall, on Tuesday evening, April 2,
after months of ill-health, Captain Walter Wallace Graham, at the age of 71
years. The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Graham of
Port Greville. Captain Graham was well known as an experienced sea captain,
sailing for many years from the port of Parrsboro, later sailing the
"Wilfred C." out of Halifax. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Halifax
and that order had charge of the funeral arrangements. He is survived by his
wife, formerly Miss Bertha Manning; four daughters, Mrs. Stephen Faulkner
and Miss Kathleen Graham, of Quincy, Mass.; ***Mrs. Ernest Simpson,
Boston***; and Mrs. Kitchener, of Saint John; and one sister, Mrs. James
Joyce, of Port Greville. The funeral was held Friday afternoon from his
home, conducted by Rev. J.G. Stones of Trinity United Church, assisted by
Rev. Mr. Johnson of the United Baptist Church, with interment in the Baptist
Cemetery besides his late daughter, Mrs. Thomas Yorke.
