Durant on 27 Nov 1913 (Mrs. Murray McWhirter). Oscar Lyall Durant's death
date and location is unbeknown to me.

Harvey Howard Ackles died 3 Feb 1936 in All Saint's Cottage Hospital,
Springhill of Prostate Cancer.

OBITUARY: Mrs. Priscilla Ackles
On Wednesday, May 15, 1946, at noon, Mrs. Priscilla Ackels[sic] passed away
peacefully at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Murray McWhirter, Apple
River, N.S. For the past two years the deceased has been confined to her
bed, bur bore suffering with patience, being tenderly cared for by her
granddaughter and grandson-in-law. All that loving hands could do was done.
Born at Five Islands in 1858, she was a daughter of the late Richard Wadman
and Lucy (Corbett) Wadman and resided in many places during her life time,
including some years spent in California and other places in the United
States. For twenty years she was a resident of Springhill but for the past
year has been at Apple River, N.S. The deceased was 87 years and eleven
months. She is survived by one granddaughter (May) Mrs. Murray McWhirter and
some nieces and nephews. Her husband, Harvey Howard Ackles, predeceased her
in February 1936. Being a person of kind and friendly disposition she made
many friends during her life and was a member of Saint David's Presbyterian
Church, Springhill. The funeral was held from Peniel United Church at Five
Islands on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. Mr. Ross of Economy conducted the
funeral service. The hymns were "Jesus Lover Of My Soul", "The Hour Of My
Departure's Come" and "Abide With Me" and at the graveside, "Safe In The
Arms Of Jesus". The text was 2 Timothy 4:6,7,8. The hymns and text were
favorites previously requested by the deceased. The pallbearers were Herman
Aylward, Bedford Aylward, Addison Taylor and Clarence Marsh. Interment was
in the family lot in the United Church Cemetery at Five Islands.
