Lenora (Allen) Cole of Ward's Brook

There's 15 years between Lenora Allen and her brother, Ervin L. Allen (abt.
1892-26 Jul 1981). Sorry, I don't have his obit.

Could Ervin be Lenora's illegitimate son, raised by her parents as a son
rather than a grandson?

Ervin lists Lockerman and Cecilia as parents when he m/1 Eva Viola Bowden in
1918 but see death record below.

Ervin appears to be missing on the 1901 and 1911 Censuses.
