Hazel Blanche Lusignan nee Pettigrew 1916-2006

LUSIGNAN, Hazel Blanche July 6, 1916 - July 4, 2006 Born in Springhill, NS to the late Florence (Pettigrew) and James Pettigrew. Survived by sister Ivy Bird (Halifax), Evelyn Canning (Springhill, NS), brother Lloyd Pettigrew (Phyllis) (Halifax)and brother-in-law Eugene Lusignan (Vivian) Pembroke, ON. Also loved and will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Hazel and her late husband Don were active members of the Masonic Faternity. Hazel was a charter member of Sakina Temple #145, Daughters of The Nile; member of The Eastern Star, Crescent Chapter #75, Shawville Chapter #50 and generously supported Rainbow For Girls. Hazel had the honour to be Grand Representative of The Grand Chapter of Indiana in Quebec. Besides her husband and parents, Hazel was predeceased by her sisters Viola Rector, Ethel Jewkes and brothers Arthur Pettigrew and George Pettigrew. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Carleton Memorial United Church Sanctuary Fund or to the Convalescent Relief Fund, Sakina Temple.
