Arthur Percy Howard 1919- 2005 n/o Springhill

HOWARD , Arthur Percy, Lt. Cdr. RCN (Retired) Born in Springhill, NS. in July, 1919 and was a resident of Esquimalt since 1961, passed away on Nov. 26, 2005, predeceased by his first wife, Joan and now survived by his loving wife Sheila and children, Michael (Heather) Howard of Wells, B.C., Nancy (Bob) Taylor, Joanne (Richard) Weyler, Tim (Debbie) Howard, all from Victoria, also six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He joined the RCN in 1937 as a Boy Seaman and retired in 1970. After the navy, he worked with CFAV in the dockyard, then a stint with BC Ferries, finally retiring in 1979. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and travelling. He was a member of, and past President of the Naval Officers Ass'n of VI and was also a member of the Chief & PO's Ass'n both Pacific and Atlantic. A memorial service will be held at the First Memorial Chapel, Falise Dr. (Royal Oak) on Thurs. Dec. 01 at 2:00 PM. followed by a reception at #105-1121 Esquimalt Rd.
