ELDERKIN _ John Kaye "Jack" May 4, 1937 - November 10, 2007 It is with profound sadness that the family of John Kaye (Jack) Elderkin announces his sudden passing on Saturday, November 10, 2007. Predeceasing John were his parents John and Bertha Elderkin and his loving wife Norma. John was born and raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia. He moved to Calgary while a member of the Canadian Forces and made Alberta his home for over fifty years. John was never hesitant to try new ventures. During his lifetime he was a soldier, trucker, miner and as a successful entrepreneur owned numerous businesses. An adventurous traveler and motorcycle enthusiast, John made tours all over North and Central America. Many trips were taken with his buddies from the Gold Wing clubs. After retiring in 1997 he became a snowbird spending winters in Mazatlan, Mexico. John always lit up the room with his zest for life. All of us will miss his exuberant and charismatic personality.
