Re: Furlong undertaker in 1934?

Thank you Ruth.
Sometimes the handwriting on the documents in the NS Historic Vital Statistics is very difficult to decipher.
To be honest, Dave, I never considered looking for death information for a Thos S Furlong. It never occurred to me that if he died in Amherst anytime after 1934 that he also worked in that community during the year in question. My own grandfather lived and worked in so many different communities - from Five Islands to Southampton to rural Connecticut USA to Sunnybrae, Springhill, Port Elgin, back to Springhill and then to Truro where he died. (I may have missed a move or two) Seeing that kind of mobility in my own line causes me to hesitate to think that anyone else may actually have been stationary for more then a year or two!
Ruth

Have a great day!

T.S. Furlong started business in the early 1900 in Linden Nova Scotia. This info given to me tonight from Jim Furlong who is the great grandson of T.S. Furlong.

Hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me: Was there an undertaker in Amherst, NS in 1934 by the name of Thos S Furlong?

Have a great day!
