Lillian L. Doyle 1909 - 2012
Doyle, Lillian L. - 103, of Five Islands passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Five Islands, she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Elizabeth (Fulmer) Pugsley. Lillian attended Horton Academy and trained in nursing. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Millar, Moncton; daughter-in-law, Isabelle Doyle, Parrsboro; grandchildren, Ross, Tom, Nancy, Glen and Brent Millar, all of Moncton; Paul and Jeff Doyle, Halifax; Judy Walker, Moncton; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert R. Doyle; son, Robert E. Doyle; grandson, Roderick R. Doyle; sisters, Blanche, Elsie and Mabel; brothers, Harold, Trevoy and Leonard; son-in-law, Tom Millar. A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday [September 17, 2012] at the Peniel United Cemetery, Five
Islands, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Reception will follow in the vestry of Parrsboro Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the South Cumberland Community Care Centre Foundation, Parrsboro or the Cemetery Fund of Peniel Cemetery, Five Islands.

DOYLE, Robert E - 77, of Parrsboro, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009, in South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Boston, he was a son of Lillian (Pugsley) Doyle, Parrsboro and the late Robert R. Doyle. He was employed as a telegrapher with CN for many years. He also operated a country store in Southampton, worked with the Nova Scotia Department of Highways, and later for the Parrsboro Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Isabelle Spicer; daughters, Judith Walker (Stephen), Moncton; sons, Paul (Betty), Lower Sackville; Jeffery (Joan), Fall River; sister, Barbara Miller, Moncton; grandchildren, Ryan and Stevie Walker, Patrick and Maghan Doyle, Jayde, Brandon and Hanna Doyle; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Roderick; nephews, Kenneth and Steven. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, at 1 p.m. in Peniel United Cemetery, Five Islands, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Memorial donations may
