Obit (1908) - Bradford John MATTINSON

I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:

from a 1908 Amherst Daily News (received from Barb Reid):
This community was deeply moved by the very distressing intelligence that Mr. Bradford Mattinson of Mount Pleasant had fallen a victim to the dread disease of typhoid fever.  The deceased was a son of George Mattinson and was 32 years of age.  About five months ago he left his home and went West with his sister, Mrs. John A. Mattinson.  They were living in Fernie, B.C., at the time he took sick.  He died Oct. 25 and his body was brought home, Nov. 3.  The funeral took place from his parents, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Rev. J.T. Dimock, pastor of the Baptist Church, conducted the closing ceremonies.  He took his text from Job, 7 Chapter, 9 and 10 verses.  The burial took place at the cemetery near Oxford.  He leaves a wife and one son, two sisters and one brother Barry Edith and Leona at home, and father and mother to mourn the loss of the loved one.  They have sincere sympathy in their bereavement.

NOTE:  His British Columbia Death Registration lists death on 25-Oct-1908 in West Fernie.

Hope this helps someone,
Gerry
