FISHER, Betty Maxine - 70, Hillcrest Senior Citizens, New Glasgow, formerly of Abercrombie, died Tuesday, January 4, 2000, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Janie (Stevens) Mills. She had been a resident of New Glasgow for the past three years prior to having resided in Abercrombie for some 37 years. She had worked for a number of years at the Stellarton Medical Centre. She is survived by her husband, Harold, Springhill; sons, Ivan (Ann), New Glasgow; David (Beverly), Trenton; Alan, Truro; daughters, Arlene (Brian) McCracken, Alberta; Deborah (Stuart) Wilson, Alberta; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Junie) Mills, Springhill. She was predeceased by a son, Harold Arthur; brother, Ira and by a sister, Marjorie Adshade. Her remains will rest in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with visitation Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m., from where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Pastor Doug Campbell officiating. Cremation to follow with burial of ashes in the Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory my made to the Nova Scotia Rehab Centre.
