RUSSELL, Helen R. - 87, Victoria Manor, Amherst, formerly of Oxford, Cumberland Co., died May 29, 1996, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.  Born in Little Forks, Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Leonard G. and Grace (Dawson) Mattatall.  She was a member of Trinity United Church, Oxford, and life member of the UCW.  She was a charter member of the former Mayflower Chaper of the IODE, Oxford.  She was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 36 Oxford.  Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth G. (Beth) (Mrs. Fraser H. Wood), Oxford; stepdaughter, Ann R. (Mrs. Harold Raper), Fredericton, N.B.; sister, Mrs. Bernice Missett, Oxford; five grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Harry G. Blair; second husband, R. Douglas Russell; brothers, Carl, James; stepdaughters, Muriel P. Henley, Beth V. Wortman;
step-grandson, Kevin Henley; step-great-grandson, Cole Raper.  Visitation Saturday afternoon and evening, funeral 3 p.m. Sunday, both in Allen's Funeral Home, Oxford, Rev. Yvette Noble-Bloomfield officiating.  Burial in Oxford Pine Grove Cemetery.  Donations to Trinity United Church memorial fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity.
