Obit (1979) - Ernest Graham MARSHALL

E. Graham Marshall
ROSLYN - Ernest Graham Marshall, 47, of Roslyn, Cumberland County, and formerly of New Glasgow, died Friday at home.  Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Mrs. Bertha (Patriquin) Gammon and the late R. Laurie Marshall.  He was an employee of the Canada Rock and Salt Company for the past 10 years, and a member of Richmond Star L.O.L., number 1521.  He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Clark; four daughters, Susan Mae (Mrs. Stephen Betts), Wells, B.C.; Margaret (Mrs. Alton Mills), Port Howe; Bertha Jean and Jean Anne, both at home; one son, David, Toronto; one sister, Margaret (Mrs. Donald MacCally), Pictou; one brother, Donald, Toronto; and four grandchildren.  He was predeceased by one brother, Walter.  The body is in the Mundle Funeral Home, Pugwash, where funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m., Rev. Arnold Mitton officiating.  Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow.

MARSHALL, Margaret R. "Maggie" - 69, Meadow Vista, Main Street, Oxford, Cumberland Co., died Tuesday, September 5, 2000, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.  Born in Little Harbour, Pictou Co., she was a daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Fraser) Clarke.  She worked with Knol Farms, River Philip and Gordons Greenhouses, Oxford, until her retirement.  Surviving are daughters, Susan (Stephen) Betts, Princeton, B.C.; Peggie (Alton) Mills, Roslin, Cumberland Co.; Jane Isenor-Humphreys and companion, Ed Smith, Halifax and twin sister Anne (Carl) Margeson, Oxford; sisters, Alice Levy, Trenton; Molly Hardy, New Glasgow; Helen Cameron, Caribou River, Pictou Co.; niece, Jean Wong, Stellarton; and cousin, Edna Desbarres, River Hebert; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Graham; son, David; sisters, Dorothy and twin sister, Isabell.  Visitation will be Friday, 2-4, 7-9 p.m., funeral service will be
Saturday, 2 p.m., both in MacDiarmids Funeral Home, 5075 Main St., Oxford, Rev. Kevin Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow, at a later date.  If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
