Obit (1997) - Ada E. LEADBETTER (nee MANNING)

I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:

April 19, 1997 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
LEADBETTER, Ada E. - 82, Oxford, Cumberland Co., died April 18, 1997, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.  Born in Wallace, Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Henry B. and Ida M. (Haley) Manning.  Surviving are sons, Ralph, Kolbec; Walter, Westville; Lloyd, Little River; daughters, Lorraine Simpson, Oxford; Glenda (Mrs. Ronald Daken), Little River; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W.; son, Laurie; brother, Charles; sister, Mrs. Gladys Daken.  Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and Sunday, funeral 2 p.m. Monday, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main St., Oxford.  Burial at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford.  Donations to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Oxford; Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

OXFORD - Robert Leadbetter, 73, Oxford, died Thursday in Highland View Hospital, Amherst.  Born in Port Howe, he was a son of the late James and Elizabeth (Casey) Leadbetter.  He was a retired electrician.  He is survived by his wife, the former Ada Manning; three sons, Ralph, Kolbec; Walter, Westville; Lloyd, Little River; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Simpson and Glenda (Mrs. Robert Daken), both of Little River, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son, Laurie and a brother, Walter.  The body is in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, Oxford, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, David Hiller officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford.
