Dean, Alan — Passed away on April 15, 2010, at his home in Brampton, Ont.
Born in Dean, he was a son of the late Timothy and Marjorie (Smith) Dean.



Alan was a loving and proud father of Lynnda Glen (David), Timothy (Rhonda)
and Aaron, and was a loving G’Paw of Adam.



Alan will be deeply missed by his sister, Eleanor Hamilton (Neil) and their
family; brother, Robert, along with many great friends.



Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m. in Sharon Presbyterian
Church, Dean, Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Dean
Pioneer Cemetery.



Family will receive friends for a reception at the church hall following the
burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dean Pioneer Cemetery,
c/o Eleanor Hamilton, Treasurer, 541 Dean Back Rd., Upper Musquodoboit, NS
B0N 2M0. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral

Obituary; Dean-Cohoon, Gloria Ellen; Halifax – The ChronicleHerald;
07-September- 2012;



Dean-Cohoon, Gloria Ellen— 67, Dartmouth, passed away September 3, 2012, in
the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Reagh
Canning and the late Laura (Logan) Canning.



Many years of Gloria's working life were spent as a customer service
representative, serving in a number of financial institutions. Following
this career, she opened her own business in the Annapolis Valley. Upon
retiring, she returned to Dartmouth, where she enjoyed tending her gardens.



Surviving are daughter, Linda (David) Glen; sons, Tim (Rhonda), Aaron;
grandsons, Adam and Zachary; brother, Chris (Cathy); sisters, Marsha Graham,
Andrea (Todd) LaSaga; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place.



Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13 at 11 a.m., in Forest
Hills United Church, Rev. Sally Budge officiating. A private family burial
will take place at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit.



Memorial donations may be made to a local chapter of the SPCA. Arrangements
are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper

Obituary; Coon, Georgina J.; Halifax – The ChronicleHerald; September 07,
2004;



Coon, Georgina J. - 85, Springhill, died Saturday, September 4, 2004, in All
Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the
late Peter and Margaret (Metcalf) Phalen. She was a member of All Saints
Church, All Saints Hospital Auxiliary, and All Saints Ladies Guild,
Springhill. She was a Sunday school teacher for more than 20 years, a member
of the Rebekah Lodge and an honorary member of the Nova Scotia Liberal
Party.



She is survived by her son, David (Wanda), Springhill; daughter, Carolann
(Joseph) Abraham, Brampton, Ont.; grandchildren, Cathy, Caroleanne, Tina,
Cindy, Patricia, Mary-Jo and Gary; great-grandchildren, Brad, Bryce, Joseph,
Alex, Spencer, Jacob, Brayden, Brittany, Brianna, Avery and Tori. She was
predeceased by her husband, John; son, Gary; grandson, Jason Abraham;
brothers, Charles, John and Jim; sisters, Hazel, Mary, Nora, Frances and
Kathleen.



Cremation has taken place under the direction of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home
(447-2930). Visitation will be today from 7-9 p.m. in St. Cecelia's Chapel,
All Saints Anglican Church, Springhill. Funeral service will be 11 a.m.
Wednesday, September 8, in All Saints Anglican Church, Springhill, Rev.
Frank Likely officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery,
Springhill. Donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church, All Saints
