Obituary; Dean-Cohoon, Gloria Ellen; Halifax Herald; Sep 7, 2012;
Dean-Cohoon, Gloria Ellen— 67, Dartmouth, passed away September 3, 2012, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Reagh Canning and the late Laura (Logan) Canning.
Many years of Gloria's working life were spent as a customer service representative, serving in a number of financial institutions. Following this career, she opened her own business in the Annapolis Valley. Upon retiring, she returned to Dartmouth, where she enjoyed tending her gardens.
Surviving are daughter, Linda (David) Glen; sons, Tim (Rhonda), Aaron; grandsons, Adam and Zachary; brother, Chris (Cathy); sisters, Marsha Graham, Andrea (Todd) LaSaga; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13 at 11 a.m., in Forest Hills United Church, Rev. Sally Budge officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit. Memorial donations may be made to a local chapter of the SPCA.
