OBITUARY
RÉAL COULOMBE

COULOMBE, Réal A - (1934-2010) - The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Son of the late Germaine (née Monette) Coulombe and of Sam Coulombe of Sturgeon Falls. Survived by his wife of 30 years Joyce Canning of Nova Scotia. Dear father of Roxanne of Laval and Chantal of Nova Scotia. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandsons Keir of Toronto and Olivier of Laval. Also survived by his brothers Pat (Glenna), Yvon (Rosalyn), Denis (Joanne), Gerard, Réjean (Linda), Daniel (Suzanne), Maurice (Vera) and Miguel (Yvonne) and his sisters Adele Guy (Norman), Jeanne d'Arc Maurice (Raymond), Marthe Restoule (Kenneth) and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant sister. Stricken with polio as a young child, Réal had only limited use of his left arm but he never let that keep him from doing anything he wanted to do. He was a skilled mechanic, plumber, electrician and carpenter as well as an excellent marksman. He always looked forward to his fall hunting trips with "the boys". Réal was a graduate of Kemptville Agricultural College and was employed for many years by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food. After his retirement, he and Joyce enjoyed several years traveling in Canada and USA with their 5th wheel. The family will receive friends in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls Saturday, October 2, 2010 after 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with interment at the Monetville Cemetery. Donations to the Parkinson's Society of Canada, 321- 4211 Yonge St., Toronto, Ontario M2P 2A9 in his memory would be appreciated (cheques only).
