Melrose, Massachusetts
She was born and educated in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late Alton and Sylvia (Morrison) Currie. She was a resident of Melrose for the past 57 years. Mrs. Tornrose worked at Klines Store in Wakefield in the Cosmetic Department for many years until her retirement. She previously was the Head of Cosmetics at Gilchrist Department Store for 10 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Wife of the late Oliver W. Tornrose. Mother of Beverly J. Tornrose of Stowe, VT, Susan E. Peterson of Danvers, Linda K. Roth and her husband Frederick of No. Reading and the late Ingrid M. Sheridan. Sister of Juantia Elliott, Viola Olsen, Dorothy Rutherford, Jean Neil, Georgie Wyonch, Howard Currie and Gordon Currie, all of Canada and the late Clara MacDougall, Agnes MacIsaac, Edna Newcomb, Frank Currie and Stewart Currie. Also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Gifts in her memory may be made to Winchester Hospital
