Obit (1985) - Pearl ATKINS (nee MacDOUGALL)

I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:

And here's her husband's obituary previously posted from the June 21, 1966 Halifax Chronicle Herald:

Atkins, a well-known resident of Tidnish Bridge, died yesterday at Highland View Hospital, Amherst, following a short illness.  he was 72, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jabez Atkins of England.  He was born in England and came to Canada as a young man.  Except for a few years in New Glasgow and Tatamagouche he had resided in Tidnish Bridge, where he made his home since 1933.  He was a well known market gardener, retiring about 10 years ago.  He was a member of the Tidnish Bridge United Church and an active member of the choir.  He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Edith Johnstone of New Glasgow in 1929; also by an infant son, Kenneth.  Besides his second wife, the former Pearl MacDougall of Brookdale, he is survived by one daughter Alberta (Mrs. Leon Ross) of Hamilton, Ont.; one son, Everett Atkins of Willowdale, Ont.; three sisters in England and two brothers, George of New Glasgow and Henry of Welland, Ont.; as well as seven

Hope this helps someone,
