Obit (1991) - Sterling Angus MacDONALD

I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:

April 6, 1991 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
MacDONALD, Sterling Angus - 90, East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, Cumberland County, formerly of Thomson, Cumberland County, died Thursday in the lodge.  Born in Birchwood, he was a son of the late Murdick and Katherine (MacPherson) MacDonald.  He was a member of Bethany United Church, Thomson.  He was a past member of Knights of Pythias Lodge 26, Oxford.  He was a director of the Thomson Cemetery committee.  Prior to retirement, he was self-employed in lumbering and farming.  He is survived by a daughter, Joan (Mrs. Eric LeBlanc), Moncton, N.B.; a half sister, Mrs. Helen Mooring, Aldergrove, B.C.; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his wife, the former Agnes Mae Mayne; a daughter, Lorna; a brother, James; three half sisters, Tressie Thompson, Ethel Wallace, Isabel Whittaker; three half brothers, John Watson, George Watson, Wallace Watson.  The body is in Allen's Funeral Home,
Oxford, visiting this afternoon and evening, and where funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Hubert Bartlett, assisted by Rev. Eugene Thompson, officiating.  Spring burial will be in Thomson Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany United Church Memorial Fund, Thomson Cemetery Memorial Fund or any charity.
