OBITUARY: Former Industrial Arts Teacher Dies
John R. Morwick died at the Victoria General Hospital after an illness of
several months. He was 70. He was the son of the late Captain F.[sic, S.] M.
Morwick and Lillian (Roop) Morwick of Parrsboro. Prior to World War II, he
served as town fire chief and following the war he was an instructor at
Moncton Trade School in mechanics. He was the industrial arts instructor of
Parrsboro until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias
Lodge of Moncton and was well-known as a builder of model ships. He is
survived by a sister, Miss Molly S. [sic, B.] Morwick and a brother, Harold.
Funeral services were held from Smith Funeral Home in Parrsoro Thursday,
with Rev. Heins Wieler of Trinity United Church. Interment was in the church
cemetery.

Harold Albert Morwick, 78, died at home in Parrsboro yesterday. A son of the
late Capt. Samuel Morwick and Lillian Roop, he was a veteran of both World
Wars. He is survived by one sister, Miss Molly Morwick, Parrsboro. Funeral
service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Smith's funeral Chapel, Parrsboro,
Rev. Arnold Mitten officiating. Interment will be in the United Church
Cemetery.
