OBITUARY:
John Crowe (Jack) Bentley, 57, died in the Colchester Hospital, Truro,
Tuesday night. Born at Fox River, Cumberland County, he had been a resident
of Truro for the past 50 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Ida
Little of Wentworth; a son, John, Ottawa; four sisters, Hope (Mrs. Ed
Ogilvie), Truro; Irma (Mrs. Howard Murray), Spartanburg, South Carolina;
***Mrs. Myrtle Patterson, Ashland, Mass.***; and ***Anne (Mrs. H.L. Shaw),
Campo, Calif.*** The body is at the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, where
funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Ronald Dempsey
officiating. Interment in Robie Street Cemetery.

BENTLEY (Little), Ida Swan - 89, Tatamagouche, formerly of Truro, died
Monday, October 28, 2002, in Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche. Born in Wentworth,
Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late William Earl and Jean
(Carrol) Little. Ida was a retired certified nursing assistant and was
employed with Colchester Community Hospital for a number of years. Surviving
are brother, Ralph (Evelyn), Tatamagouche; grandchildren, Robbie, Minnesota;
Carol, Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack; son, John;
daughter-in-law, June (Turner); brother, Colin; sisters, Annie Mae, Lois.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday followed by
funeral service at 2 p.m. in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 14067 Hwy. 4,
Wentworth, Rev. Morley Bentley officiating. Reception to follow. Interment
will be in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations may be made to Canadian
