Feb. 23, 1996 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
MacAULAY, Richard Ellsworth - 63, Pugwash, died February 22, 1996, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Pugwash, he was the eldest son of the late Charles and Ethel (Higgins) MacAulay. He resided in Pugwash all his life. He had been employed as a gravel truck driver and as a horse trainer for Wathan Piers. Surviving are daughter, Carolyn (Mrs. Russell Thompson), Truro; sons, Gary, Pugwash; Ronald, Wallace; sisters, Catherine Spicer, Roberta (Mrs. Hal Steele), Helen (Mrs. Roy Mattinson), Carol Allen, Pugwash; brothers, Wendell, Oxford; Roddie, Whitby, Ont.; Charles, Pugwash, six grandchildren. He was predeceased by infant son, Kevin; sister, Margaret. ... Spring burial in Palmerston Cemetery, Pugwash.
