OBITUARY

Mrs. T. Marguerite Moir, wife of Wallace Moir of 98 East Pleasant St., Amherst, passed away
Friday evening, August 11, 1989 at Highland View Hospital in Amherst following a lengthy
illness. She was 78 years of age. Born in Truemanville, N.S., she was a daughter of the late
Howard and Ada (Smith) Baxter. She was a life member of the Truemanville United Church Women
and a former member of the Truemanville United Church. She is survived by her husband Wallace;
two foster sons, William Ross and Thomas M***, both of Amherst;; two sisters, Mrs. Daphne
Brooks, of Amherst and Mrs. Melba Jones of Sackville, N.B.; a brother, Roland Woodworth of
Amherst Head; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a
daughter, Joyce and three brothers, Arnold, Douglas and Ronald. Her remains rested at Furlong's
Funeral Home in Amherst, where funeral service was held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., conducted by
Rev. Morley Bentley. Burial was in the Truemanville Cemetery.
